The Mansion - Broad Channel

This diner has been a neighborhood staple for years. I came down with covid and ordered two large containers of chicken noodle soup. Cost me $40 with delivery and tip but stretched me four meals. Hearty soup with the good stuff.

I will define this place in two words expensive and average food. Definitely one of the good diners around, the place has a history, ambience is great but food needs improvement. I went there for a dinner after a long walk since it was on my watchlist for a long time.

The Mansion Restaurant is the place to go eat as you are treated like a family member. The food is exceptionally tasty especially for it being a diner. 'Everbody knows your name”. (Just like in Cheers). The wait staff has never mixed up my order ever. Nor has it mixed up anyone 's order to the best of my knowledge. Horrible experience, wish I liked this place (first time visit). Waiter gave us our food then didn’t come back. Bacon was burnt, black particles in our water, Orwashers cinnamon French toast was straight awful, had to ask for more water/replacement waters. And the check was unreadable.

The food was great, and the service was also fantastic. They are very hard-working people, and are very welcoming.
