The Flagship Brewing Company

Exploring St George and its environs one summer day, i had seen all that i had wanted to see and was in need of refreshment. I remember reading on a website about several independent breweries. Combing through my memory, i remembered that there was one right here, in the Forgotten Borough.I arrived and was guided as to what i should try by the friendly and obliging staff. I had a two pints of a delicious, ice-cold pale Ale of whose name i cannot for the life of me remember. I sat outside, in a comfy chair, with and ice-cold beer and the remaining August warmth and sunshine. I had another yet another pint of a different brew, which was equally delicious. What a fantastic end to a beautiful day.Thanks to all at Flagship Brewery.

They were holding a private event and no warning was given anywhere, even in their social media. I and my wife have arrived in Staten Island early and have waited to go to this place. What a shame!

This is the worst place! After taking the ferry, you have to walk an additional 15 minutes from the terminal just to reach this brewery. I even checked their Instagram account, as suggested on their website, to make sure there wasn’t a private event scheduled, and yet they were closed for a private event anyway. You can’t even get a glass of water!

I'm not a beer drinker and I'm not fond of the smell of it either, but my boyfriend really enjoys a good IPA and he absolutely loves Flagship! I’ve started joining him there, and I actually find myself enjoying it because of the fantastic people, like one of the owners, Sam, and the awesome bartenders, Oliver and Mike—they’re always great to chat with! The vibe is wonderful! They host a variety of events, including comedy nights and open mic nights, and they also rent out the venue for different occasions. Recently, they’ve added frozen drinks to their menu, which I really enjoy, like the Arnold Palmer, and now they offer local bourbon and vodka too.
