Ra Sushi Bar Restaurant - Broad Channel

Went for pre-theater happy hour, was able to get 2 seats at the bar. The women behind the bar are working hard and getting it done, impressive. The rolls (spicy crispy tuna and spicy crispy salmon, California roll) were good, nothing to write home about but a good value and decent. Beer was $6.50 for a 12 oz bottle, no draft (why no draft beer in a medium sized sushi restaurant? Weird). Had gyoza (tasty) and the chicken skewers (meh). Overall not a bad option for a pre-theater bite.

Good food and location, however we received one of our orders 20 minutes after the other one!!! Meaning at the whole time one of us didn’t have any food to eat while the other one was enjoying her food!!! Otherwise, everything else was good

Okay sushi. Okay price. Wayyyyy tooo long to have three rolls delivered to the table. Plant to spend 2 hours here for a mediocre roll.

Wish I could give zero stars. Spend your money elsewhere. They had 11:00 reservations available, I thought we could make it in time since our show was around the corner so I booked 10:45. I called at 10:53 to let them know we were running late (because our show got out late) but on our way and they said they wouldn’t seat us. I explained we were on 44th St. and would be there in 3 minutes but were still turned away. It makes no sense that they wouldn’t seat us despite offering even later reserva … – show

A little pricey, the sushi is good, the cocktails are great and the staff is very nice. Great place to stop on the way to the theater or times square for a quick bite.
