The food was amazing. We couldnt choose, so we basically got one of everything. Absolutely loved the scallion potato cakes with beef and the soup dumplings with crab meat. The food comes out as it's ready and all of the employees there were so nice and welcoming. They gave us tips for keeping out food warm while we were finishing each dish. The only tough part is that space for seating is very limited, be prepared to wait for a spot on the weekend (potentially standing outside). You could also order out worst case.

DELICIOUS, SPICY, QUICK, AUTHENTIC! The pepper fish soup is outstanding! Bursting with amazing flavors, it’s spicy and served piping hot. The portions are quite large for the price—enough to feed two, possibly even three people. I had plenty leftover to take home. The soup is filled with generous amounts of white fish, enoki mushrooms, and sprouts, all in a perfectly crafted clear peppercorn broth. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. It seems to be a family-run business, and the service is top-notch. The atmosphere is casual, with plenty of local customers. I highly recommend it!

I was really looking forward to dining at Memories of Shanghai, but I was disappointed when I was served raw shrimp dumplings. I understand that mistakes can occur, but given the seriousness of this issue, the staff didn't seem very apologetic or concerned about it. To make matters worse, we still had to pay the bill. While I acknowledge that errors happen, this situation should have been managed more thoughtfully to demonstrate a commitment to customer care and food safety. I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially given the potential risk of food poisoning.

This is a fantastic restaurant that offers an authentic dining experience. The menu has a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was both flavorful and well-prepared. The shiitake mushrooms with bok choy were elegantly done, and although they were simple, they packed a lot of taste. The cumin lamb had just the right amount of cumin, enhancing the flavor without overwhelming the tender lamb. The dumplings may not be to everyone’s liking, especially since the soup dumplings are pork-based. The chicken dumplings were decent, but if you’re accustomed to Nepalese-style momos, these will be quite different. Prices might be a bit higher compared to other restaurants, but I believe it’s worth it. They also adhered to COVID safety measures, which made us feel secure. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

I can't express enough how much I love the food here! I've visited at least five times, and the photos I've taken are from different occasions because I'm really hoping to love this place. Unfortunately, the service has been quite disappointing. Just to clarify, I'm not a picky customer; I don't request changes to my meals, I always tip generously, and I make sure to be polite. I've given this restaurant so many chances because the food truly is fantastic, but the service really brings the experience down. It feels like I'm a nuisance to the staff just by ordering and being there. Interestingly, each time I visit, it's the same two waiters, which makes me think they might just be overwhelmed. I completely understand that, but as a customer, I have to take that into account in my review. I still encourage you to support this place because the food is exceptional. However, getting takeout might be a better choice than dining in.
