Contribuiți la feedbackOh, this place offered me an incredible variety of delicious ingredients for hot pot, and while it might have been a little risky to eat so much, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite, making the discomfort worth it. I highly recommend trying all the mushrooms, as well as the fish balls. I have a diverse taste, okay?
Firstly, I noticed that the price increased from $24.95 to $34.95, and I was shocked to learn that kids were charged the same price as adults. I've never encountered such a pricing structure before. When we received the bill, there was an additional convenience fee of nearly $40. When I inquired about this fee, they explained it was due to our party of five or more. In total, each person ended up paying $34.95 plus $7.95, along with tax and tip. I can't understand why kids should be charged the same as adults. I wish the restaurant had informed us of this pricing before we were seated; it would have allowed us to decide whether to stay or leave rather than feeling cheated after the meal. Given these experiences, I have no desire to return, regardless of how good the food may be. As for kid-friendliness, it was far from it. The prices are simply too high for young children who wouldn't be able to eat as much, even at an all-you-can-eat buffet. It seems unreasonable to charge them the same rate as adults.
This is my favorite restaurant in Queens. The food is consistently delicious and served quickly. Every soup I've tried has been outstanding, and the staff is always friendly. Note that it's cash only, so be sure to come prepared; there's an ATM across the street. It's great for small groups of up to six people. They don’t take reservations, but you can give them a heads-up about your arrival. I’ve rarely experienced a lengthy wait to get in, but if there is a wait, there's a very affordable bar named Playground located downstairs. Be sure to try the fish balls—they're fantastic—along with the garlic fried rice and pork blood soup. The Thai hot pot offers unique and delicious flavors that set it apart from more traditional options. I constantly recommend this place to others!
A friend of mine from out state was visiting and they wanted to try this place out. The place is a little hard to find once you're at the location, there are two staircases. Take the one on the left. Once you're inside, there's cute Thai decor. A small space overall, but enough tables to fit some big groups if necessary. We came on a Saturday evening and had 5 people and were able to be sat immediately. Our table ordered the clear soup, Tom zap beef, Jaew hon beef, and yen ta fo broths just to be adventurous. All of them were really delicious and the food soaked up the flavors really well. The sauces were also soooo good. Very spicy and flavorful, but very reminiscent of Thai flavors. It's about $35/person for AYCE. The garlic rice is a must try here! Adding dill and the basil is also recommended helps the aroma with the broth. This place is cash only!
I came here a few weeks ago with my 2 friends. It was a rainy Sunday evening and we happened to get in just in time before the dinner rush happened as we managed to quickly snag a table without too long of a wait. I told the servers that I was a vegetarian, so they were able to set me up with a separate pot with veg-friendly dipping sauces, which I immensely appreciated. This place works a lot like a dim sum place in that you get a checklist of items that you wish to order. I opted for ingredients that I don't normally find in Chinese hot pot places, such as morning glory. Ingredients were fresh, the service was excellent, and I certainly ate to my heart's content. My friends were also really happy with their choices, and the restaurant itself is super cute and kitschy to boot. Definitely looking forward to coming back here, especially when the weather gets colder. Cash only.
