Dutch Fred's - Broad Channel

DOWNHILL. This place used to be great. Burnt chicken wings and no salads. Too loud you can’t hear a damn thing. No menus. Drinks are good.

Solid cocktails. It’s homey, but classy. Just a solid nyc bar. A few guys in fancy suits talking finance, a few artsy people, a few tourists, some people who look like service industry. But the bartenders make the place. They treat you like you matter.

Took a star off because the place smells like the bathroom air freshener which was very distracting but otherwise everything was great. Service staff was very friendly and the cocktail I ordered “red is the new black” was very well balanced with the perfect amount of rosemary. Convenient and fast service makes it a good spot to goto before a show, which is undoubtedly what many do in the area

Espresso Martinis and starters are good here. Plus it’s decorated for the holidays.

Staff, drinks, and ambiance are all excellent. Don't know how their outdoor heaters are so incredibly effective in their little outdoor booths, but they rocked on a chilly November night.
