Cafe Grumpy Financial District

Wasn’t happy with the cappuccino taste or presentation. People’s friendly and helpful.

Decent coffee with a cool vibe. Really apt for a coffee place to go with “grumpy” for a coffee place, which is basically the state of most coffee people before having their first sip of espresso. Good range of pastries.

Not a lot of atmosphere to be had here, but it is clean and they have some nice shiny machines for the baristas to use to make your beverage. The staff is friendly and they do put a nice flourish on the top of your coffee which is nice. The coffee creations are good, and well crafted without the intense over powering of the place on every street corner in the city (which will remain nameless). And it doesn't seem to get crowded which is nice too. They also offer a nice selection of Chemex coffee equipment and accessories for purchase.

Their brewed coffee is some of the best I’ve had, but the lack of wi-fi, outlets, and bathroom is unfortunate. Plan to hotspot from your phone if you want to work here—the tables are nice and big and the chairs are comfy.

Snug coffee shop in Financial District. On weekends, this place is spacious with a cozy seating area. (I haven’t been there during the week, so maybe it’s a different situation then? Service is top quality the lates here are delightful! I don’t recall there being a bathroom at this location.
