Visit 1: The berry best Had a wonderful brunch last weekend at @balvaneranyc in the Lower East Side. The Argentinian steak house is serving up some delicious options. The waffles with berries and chantilly were so yummy. The streak and eggs was quite a fancy breakfast meal as well. The skirt steak, croquettes and empanadas were really good. Not too happy that they were out of milanesa when I went… The only thing that could be better is the service. They would forget some things we would ask for so needed to ask again… One recommendation is maybe to have more options for empanadas and to have pasta on the menu. Other than that the food was really good.

Great argentinian restaurant in the heart of the Lower East Side. Fun vibes and friendly service. Music on point

Balvanera is a special place. The atmosphere feels wonderfully intimate, like you’re guests of the family and they’ve welcomed you into their home. The service was perfect, and the sommelier in particular made an impression on us for being exceptionally nice and interesting to talk to. He clearly cares a lot about the restaurant and helping his customers have a great experience. The interior was beautiful and service was truly great. the dry aged steak was smaller than i thought, not sure if it was worth the price. the appetizers were pretty good too, we got the empanadas and croquettes.
