Zelená Kočka Pivárium - Brno

Beautiful pub, good selection of both ales, and traditional Czech beers. Not so cheap, but really nice.

Beautiful craft beer pub near the main square in downtown Brno. They have a rotating beer menu concentrated on small, independent breweries, mostly from the Czech Republic, so a second visit really pays; They serve simple pub food such as sausage, gulaš or bread with spreads.

Great service and an excellent selection. I'm not sure how the regular tap list is... I came for the design of the selection of local craft beers and was certainly not disappointed. The beautiful weather sees the addition of outdoor seating, which is a great place to get away with friends and good drinks.

What a great place! Make a reservation, but... how the friend and I were lucky to sneak a place at 8:00 on a Saturday. People were friendly and shared our table! They had a great variety of our favorite Czech craft brews on tap that made for a perfect brewing evening. I've already recommended this to several people, and I wouldn't be surprised if we were back to Brno JUST for this place.

A disappointing visit to what has been an award winning pub in the centre of Brno and one I have visited on previous visits to this city. The management in this pub have a crazy system whereby they allow tables to be reserved for a specific time but even if the customers do not turn up, the bar manager refuses any other customers to sit and be served there. Our group arrived at gone 8pm, and saw two tables were empty with reservation times shown as 6:30pm. Instead of being allowed to sit at one of these tables we, like other customers, had to stand because the bar manager refused to serve us if we sat at these tables. When customers walk by and see empty tables in a city centre pub at 8pm, it tells them that pub isn't very good. It was Friday evening and this pub should have been very busy but it wasn't. My friends who live in Brno and were my guides for the evening told me their beer selection wasn't very good either. We had one beer and moved on. What more can I say?
