Cafe In The Ghetto - Brno

Come here if you want an informal vibe of a community cafe with simple, yet nutritious lunch menus. There's a daily selection of desserts and evening snacks (such as marinated tofu or tortillas). They serve probably the cheapest lunch in Brno nowadays.

They serve good-quality, light, simple, delicious, and healthy food for a very low reasonable price. The restaurant feels cozy and is quite pretty with its pieces of art, piano, books, and more. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. I’m sure to visit more often, as it’s immediately become one of my favorites in Brno.

It is in a bit of a bad neighborhood, but it is worth a visit. They offer a daily menu for 100 or 140 crowns depending on the size you want. I had noodles with robi meat and fried vegetables. We were there at 1230 and had the last 2 portions, so be early if you want the daily menu. Staff was friendly and spoke English very well.

Great experience! This place looks so shady, the outside, but I completely recommend giving it a change. The staff is very nice. The place offers meals that you can eat or take away at the place, including the order by food delivery apps. The range of alcohol is classic. Prices are more than ok for Brno. They actually reflect the spirit of the place. I have also seen some board games that you can simply take from a bowl and play. This place supports people who are disadvantaged in society and offer flyers for different types of support groups or activities. I think that's very nice. The waitress allowed me to warm up my dinner (no lunch I had with me) in the place's kitchen. It all started as a kind of misunderstanding, but the boss of the place allowed it and there was no problem. I was allowed to come to the kitchen and heat up my food. I ate dinner with my friends at the café. Then I came back myself and cleaned the dishes after me. That's a punk I love! To my surprise I saw many fancy dressed people (intellectuals) gather and drink in place. Especially considering that the place is so punk (no attack). The place takes reservations, so I recommend to make one. If not, you can try it blindly like my friends and me. But be prepared that there is a change from no free table left.

Comfortable. Relaxing. Delicious food. Nice people. Very nice snd unique. We enjoyed it!
