It is really hot keep that in mind as it is in NW, and if you don't bring cutlery you will have to eet with mussel shell. I loved it and will definitely return.
A great outing for those good looong Sunday kuiers. Best enjoyed when someone else drives, so get an Uber and enjoy. <br/ <br/ Every dish of the 8 courses is delish! Just watch out for the bread. You end up eating too much brood en konfyt and as such, wont be fully able to enjoy all the speciality seafood that is served at the end. <br/ <br/ BYOB and remember the bottle opener. Or just bring screw top wine bottles. <br/ <br/ Being out and about in nature will, of course, bring bees, so for those allergic, bring relevant medication. <br/ <br/ Great warm spot for winter. Can even kick off your shoes and enjoy the beachsand.
Something really different. Not licensed and also does not serve any drinks or provide glasses. Generous servings of seafood but be prepared for a long afternoon.
Really amazing venue and the variety (and quantity) of fresh seafood is fantastic. Great place to bring friends and family to enjoy great food (loved the mussels, seafood potjie, snoek and fresh bread) and pretend you are at the beach. Don't wait until the last minute to book. Tip for 1st time: Bring plates, cutlery and glasses with in your cooler with sunscreen if going on a Sunday. Looking forward to coming back in November.
A really great experience to be embraced for what it is: a bonfire-smoke filled day, a sea-sand floor, raggedy canopy, bordering on crude sayings hung against what looks like water-damaged pillars and about 100 delicious seafood feasts: the food literally doesn't stop coming. A quirky owner/MC/cook keeps you entertained while you enjoy a barefoot day with friends. A unique plus in my opinion is the rule that guests bring their own drinks (glasses to).<br/ <br/ Bottom line: not the ideal place for a first date, anything other than flops or a button up shirt. Rather call up a group of comfortable friends and enjoy the summer whether on an inland beach!
