This is a really good deli both for the variety of options in offer, quality of food and value ratio. so much more than their traditional sandwich shop!

I went to dos on 18th October to get the breakfast. I saw a diminutive dame with glasses behind the fertilizer that managed a tricky customer in a wheelchair that was asked for food but had no money. she bought him from her own money and he was so grateful. he also began to flee, which she nipped in the bud, and he then ate his breakfast. what an epic beautiful thing to do for another person in need. this lady needs recognition or some kind of award. great work.

Excellent eating and coffee, although it took a while to be served in a quiet time.

Excellent breakfast sandwiches, many to choose from, ordered online after having to set up an account. Given a, specific time to collect... Best breakfast sandwiches in this location..

Best for bacon sandwiches. My work colleagues and I tried a number of different options in the area (what can I say, we're connoisseurs) and kept coming back to Philpotts, because (a) value, £2.70 for a triple rasher sandwich (b) you can phone ahead and it'll be ready to collect in 15 minutes. Oh and you can ask for toasted bread, which some places won't offer. The only rivals in terms of quality seem to be Woodes, much further away on Park St, or Friska but they're (justifiably) more pricey and there's a longer wait.
