India Cottage Take Away

Tasty curry but over 45 mins late with delivery for a small order (despite the original delivery time being *an hour* from ordering, so took 1hr 45mins to reach me), granted it was a weekend, but an order placed before 6pm should not take this long. If they know delivery will take this long then they should be up-front about that when the order is placed. Would recommend this place only if you can travel to collect yourself.

We've had 4 ot 5 takeaways from India Cottage since moving to the area. The food quality is really high and staff are friendly. We had our first delivery this week and the food arrived on time. Can recommend the madras, tikka mains and biryanis.

Ordered food for delivery. ETA was approximately an hour which we thought was acceptable if they were busy. 2 hours later the food arrived cold, and by the time it did and I tasted it, I really wish it hadn’t and that we’d settled for a bacon sandwich. This isn’t the first time this has happened, but for us, it will be the last. There are far better restaurants and takeaways in the area.

This was my first delivery order at the India Cottage. It was extremely easy to complete the order and although I didn’t get confirmation quickly, I did eventually have confirmation of the order. The food arrived at exactly the right time and was superb. All four of us had a different main course and they were all excellent. Quantities were more than adequate and we enjoyed the mixed starters. An experience which we will repeat!

I used to use this place a lot when it had the old bloke in charge with no issues, but since it has changed hands what a difference. Don't know how it's going to turn out. Sometimes it's excellent other times it's bad REALLY BAD. Really small portions now and then, spice levels very I always had a chicken vindaloo and sometimes was more like the spice from a korma. Wife always had a tikka masala and one time it blew her head off. Onion bhaji have quartered in size. Get wrong type of rice from order or completely wrong order. They always chuck in free poppadoms but it does not make up for the poor service. Lost confidence in the place will not use again. My advise use it but you'll be rolling the dice.
