Caffe Nero - Bristol, City of

I rarely visit the centre of Bristol,however the staff in Nero's on the Horse fair at the entrance to Cabot circus have been absolutely fabulous this week whilst i have been in the city every day early mornings on business .They were so helpful in helping me set up the Nero App being patient whilst i eventually got there.I was dreading coming to an unfamiliar city being based in Yeovil, but these guys are first rate and so passionate .Thank you all at Nero's on the Horse fair Bristol for making the start to my day with Porridge coffee a warming experience indeed.

Three of us and we found the best three leather seats in the cafe, just inside the door. Coffee as always was great. We also had a portion of carrot cake each and it was delicious. Just happened to notice that a lot of the seats were taken by people who just seemed to walk in, plug in their chargers and use their laptops-without even buying anything. No wonder they need coded locks on the toilets for their customers. We did help a wheelchair user in and out of the cafe as the large doors are very heavy and dont have any assistance.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, and also great at multi-tasking! I often stay for a longer while to do work on my laptop and find it a great environment to be in, also for a short stay. Most importantly, the coffee is great.

My review of this restaurant is not a good one. While on a shopping trip, we decided to stop in for a quick hot drink. Unfortunately, I regretted that decision. The tables were all dirty and covered in piles of unwashed dishes and cups. I politely asked the person at the counter to clean our table, but they didn't even bother to respond. After waiting for a while, I asked another staff member with the same lack of response. The Chai Latte I ordered was bland and the options for gluten-free cake were very limited.

I went with my daughter to the Bath christmas market and we stopped in Neros for a quick lunch. It took a very long time to get served as there was a long queue but the food came quite quickly. However, the customer toilets were terrible, filthy and awash with water(? on the floor. I had to search for the cleanest and driest part of the floor to put my shopping and handbag down as there was no hook on the door, something that is also in every Neros I have ever been in. Maybe I wouldn't have noticed the filth if I had been able to hang up my things instead of examining the floor. Come on Neros, hooks on the doors and a bit more cleaning please.
