The Chefs Table - Bristol

Food was quite plain, small and underwhelming. Not very strong flavours. Fine but not worth the extremely high price. Pudding was lovely. Also one of our guests got locked in the toilet and they didn’t seem very apologetic or offer even a drink in compensation. Lovely staff though! And food looked pretty. Vegetarian options: One vegetarian option for each course. They were OK but not that exciting flavours. Service: Dine in

Truly weird experience. Restaurant was almost empty. We had the 5 course tasting menu with wine flight. Wines were good but not great and came with slightly off descriptions, where we recognised the wines. Food was ok but massively punching above its weight, with so many amazing other places to go in Bristol. Starter of bream tartare was lovely but vegetarian main course (I'm not veggie but it sounded nice) was completely tasteless. Over £200 for 2 people is fine if you get something great but it was way off this. Chef comes out at the end to discuss the meal it just wasn't anywhere near good enough to warrant this.

Delicious food, but I found the table setup a bit too close one to another. Not sure how a person that is not slim will feel comfortable in that setup. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+
