Very friendly staff, always up for a chat whilst you wait. Good quality ingredients making a whole range of breakfast sarnies (not just bacon and egg! . A range of roles, baps and sticks to pick from. And a lunch time menu also.
A great little sandwich shop. They 'll cook your bacon and egg to your liking, the tea is proper builders tea and it 's just a nice place to sit and enjoy watching life go by. Time it carefully popular with all the workies getting early lunch so you can get stuck behind an order for 12 bacon sarnies .
I haven't been here a lot and I think it's up for sale now. When I do go I'm always amazed at how cheaply you can get yourself lunch. It's pretty much fried stuff in a bun and they even have something called a heart attack or a stroke burger with the full works in it but they also do bacon and avocado and vegetarian burgers. Its unapologetic in the simplicity of its premise, and there is something classy about that. No inside space to eat but a couple of picnic tables outside if you need to sit down whilst you chomp.
This place is INSANELY good. I mean, really, as close to perfect as you can get, if you're looking for a British breakfast bap full of gooey egg, crispy bacon and all the other good stuff, for an incredible price. Extra lovely on a chilly sunny morning.
