The George Bar & Bistro - Brisbane

Swish & comfortable bar at Eagle St close the dining area Precinct. Called in here for a much needed coffee this morning on the way to Hive for lunch. It wasn't overly busy & we were served almost straight away &    iced water bought to the table. I was informed all the coffees here are at the standard rate of $4.5. I ordered a small flat white  & was very happy with the strength , taste & presentation

Absolutely annoyed and so disappointed with the dismal experience I had here last Thursday morning. It was busy but not full and there were staff everywhere. They're just useless. We were told to sit anywhere and then ignored completely- 3 attempts to order ignored my companion went up and ordered at the bar. 1 hour later we left with no breakfast and not even coffee. I am appalled.

It always had delicious coffee when I was here. when I recently dined, I chose the crab linguins. good taste, but the portion size felt a bit small, probably but on par, worthy, for other places at this place. fantastic high deck at the venue and very elegant dining area.

Great staff. The menu was good, especially the breakfast menu...until they removed mushrooms! No mushrooms on the breakfast menu? What did mushrooms ever do to the head chef? Mushrooms are not offensive. Bring mushrooms back please! I am dying without your mushrooms. It's been months of no mushrooms enough already. Un-ban mushrooms!
