Contribuiți la feedbackThey messed up my order and then claimed I was the one who ordered wrong, even raising their voice. The customer service was terrible and I will not return.
I ordered take away over the phone and after being told the food would be 15 to 20 minutes I headed to the shop only to wait another 40 minutes. My vermicelli noodle salad was good however the pork and shrimp dish we also ordered had next to no pork in it. Definitely not worth waiting almost an hour for.
From the moment you walk in you are greeted like an old friend. The food is well priced, fresh and delicious with an impressive range of menu options available.
Visited Saigon Corner for the first time since change of owners and it was simply fabulous! We were there to celebrate Mothers Day with the family and what a feast! Every dish was fresh, colorful and full of exotic flavours and the serving sizes were very generous and pricing reasonable. Tan the owner is a lovely Vietnamese man with a delightful sense of humour and a love for the centenary suburbs. What a wonderful host! Food highlights were the satay chicken skewers (with the most authentic mouthwatering satay sauce I've ever tasted), the salt and pepper quail (one of my favorites, so fresh full of subtle spices which tantalized the tastebuds and were accompanied by a lovely vermicelli and salsa side), the Singapore BBQ pork noodles, and the Chinese sizzling Mongolian chicken. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection with quality ingredients used. We eat Asian food weekly in the western suburbs and these days are so spoilt for choice with many wonderful Asian restaurants in Darra, Jindallee, and now middle Park. If you love Asian food and haven't given Saigon Corner a try recently then go and see Tan you wont be disappointed. The menu is very extensive as is the bar. Can't wait to return to sample some of the other delicacies.
Tricia and I were on the way home from somewhere exhausting and cooking didn't particularly appeal, so at the last minute we diverted to our local shopping centre and walked into the first restaurant we came to, the Saigon Corner. We had been there before from when it first opened as an eatery, through a couple of disasters and near disasters to when it opened as a Vietnamese restaurant, but when we sat down we were approached by totally new staff. This friendly, talkative guy welcomed us brought water and wine glasses with a wisecrack and a laugh, and took our order. It soon became obvious that Tan Tran was the chef and proprietor. Our meals came in rather large tasty serves, in that light. crisp style that differentiates Vietnamese from some other Asian meals. The price was right the service refreshing and the food excellent. We'll go back. This place compares well in an area well served with good Vietnamese restaurants.
