Pepe's Mexican - Brisbane

Best Mexican restaurant in Brisbane, probably Qld, possibly eastern seaboard. Don’t be alarmed by quirky and basic setting, food sensational and great beer list also.

By far, my favourite Mexican restaurant! their beef chimichangas, nachos (desert and regular) and margaritas are all amazing

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food choices were great as we had some vegetarians and gluten free friends with us and everyone was catered for

I ordered two tacos, one beef one chicken like they suggest, and also made it one soft one hard. Couldn’t decide which one I liked more. Had the Oreo taco for dessert. It was delicious, but I wouldn’t call the waffle Belgian. French or Dutch more like. Friendly staff and I like how you literally sit on the sidewalk but it feels like you sit inside. The sound of cars driving by was still a bit loud though.

Have been past Pepe’s a few time but finally had a chance to try it this weekend The dining area is very lively and colourful which creates a bright mood which really suits this style of food. I think the standout dish is the seafood fajitas which had beautiful big prawns and scallops I also really appreciated the choices of Mexican craft ales Pepe’s is a great choice for fun casual group dining with friends family
