Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a brilliant dinner with friends at Otto. We started with some simple marinated olives to whet our appetite. Otto provides complimentary bread and even those with gluten intolerances were catered for. I ordered the spaghettini alla puttanesca, which was delicious but ended up swapping plates with my dining partner who had ordered the ravioli with black garlic cream. It wasn't to his taste but it was certainly to mine and I was glad I ended up with this dark delight. For dessert I had a simple gelato which came with sweet and salted hazelnuts. I can't remember what it was called but it was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent.
An outstanding experience. Lovely decor, thoughtful and friendly service, and delicious food. I had the marinated Sicilian olives, Spaghettini alla Puttanesca, and for dessert a chocolate mousse with raspberries and a raspberry coulis.
Dined at Otto with a voucher so was quite reasonable. Even at full price the experience is worth it. Duck gnocchi was superb. Will certainly be back!!
Considered one of Brisbane's best I was looking forward to dinner at Otto and it didn't disappoint. A fantastic table by the window with a brilliant view. Delightfully friendly server - sometimes a tad too flirtatious (is that possible?) but he balanced out the snobbish grump of the maitre de for the night. Oysters to begin with and a cocktail (special occasion). The accompanying watermelon granita scared me but on tasting it worked well. I must mention the bread. I actually just could have consumed that for dinner and nothing else. Yum. And it kept coming! Sardines were wonderful, gnocchi fantastic but the duck "sauce" was described to me as "not a ragout" was exactly that and a bit too salty. My husband's squid ink pasta was nice but only good for an entire size. A main of it would be a bit too one dimensional. He enjoyed the lamb - well prepared and good quality. The honey cake with sage gelato, pumpkin and candies walnuts was a wonderful end to a great dinner. Not too sweet. Just nice. Wine list not super extensive if you are a glass drinker (like me) and not after the bottle. I'm not quite used to paying fine dining prices for what seems to me to me just good wholesome Italian - but that's all on me - as the quality of the night was great.
