Nando's - Brisbane

Karam took care of us tonight. We arrived with a group of 29 people and he made sure we were well taken care of, providing us with generous portions of side dishes.

I haven't been to Bandido in a long time because the one near me in Browns Plains refuses to give extra basting. I decided to drive the extra 5 minutes to come here instead. The server was very nice and I was able to get my extra basting.

I recently had a somewhat disappointing dining experience at Nando's in Morningside (the chicken breast was dry), so I decided to try just ordering the thigh meat to see if it would be better. I visited the Nando's in Calamvale Central to conduct my experiment. Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the modern decor of the restaurant. It looked fantastic! I ordered the chicken thighs with salad and waited for about five minutes for it to be prepared, indicating that it was cooked fresh. My experiment was a success as the chicken was juicy with just the right amount of heat from the peri peri sauce. Paired with the salad, it made for a satisfying and healthy dinner. This experience showed me that there are definitely some places, even chain restaurants, that are doing things right.

Great service, always clean and chicken is consistent. Given this is a franchise there is little to differentiate from other Nando's but the above mentioned points give this place a good name.

This Nando's can get quite busy through dinner time, so if you are ordering a take away be prepared for a little wait. I came her for dinner one night after work and ordered the Paella and a side of chips. It's a nice touch that Nandos puts aside sauces you can choose from free of charge (when you dine in). I always enjoy the paella from nandos but even the mild can be quite hot!
