I am writing this review today because of the employee talking to me rudely on the phone.. i have come to this place 10 times and i use to love it... but i got the wrong order today and called back and the staff says its the same price and its ok... just want to say i didnt cal to get free food... u just spoiled a regular customer whos sent 15 friends of mine to your place... very rude on the phone... will never come back... u can keep ur 7 pieces of dumplings coz i only got 5... also you took a dollar extra for curry and there was no curry... why is it that every time a new place starts doing good business.. they become stingy and the quality goes down..
Went here to get a bento box. Opening hours say 10am it was 10.30am. Doors wide open, open sign on display. Was gestured to not walk in as the floors were being mopped, asked if open and they said no. Walked away feeling embarrassed and annoyed. Change your opening hours if you can't cater to customers who are willing to drive 20 minutes to your business. I had already been patiently waiting all morning until 10am and now I wont come back.
Lunchtime and I am wandering around Toowong looking for lunch. I walked into Jackpot which serves Cantonese style fried noodle and rice dishes. A bit heavy for my lunch as I prefer a lighter meal. I walk into Miko's Bento at 12pm and I see 4 diners enjoying their meals. I order a Miso Soup ($2.50), Agedashi Tofu ($5), Chicken Karaage ($8) and an Okonomiyaki ($4). By 12.15pm the restaurant is filling up with customers. I notice their take away business is popular. The waitress advises me that they have sold out of the Okonomiyaki and I decide not to order something else. My meal is served a few minutes later. The Chicken Karaage is piping hot and dribbling with some orange coloured homemade sauce. It is nice but a touch overcooked. The Agedashi tofu has an unusually small serve of tofu but the dashi broth is hot and delicious. The miso soup which was to accompany the Okonomiyaki is hot and nicely flavoured with miso. A light and enjoyable lunch which rates 3.5/5.0 but the reasonable prices pushes the overall rating up to 4/5.
