Kenmore Tavern - Brisbane

Took the family out to dinner while on a trip to Brisbane.They chose the location. I ordered a rib eye steak medium rare and got it well done. The veggies were cold and quite tough. They offered to 're do the steak but would take some time. Four of the five meals were delivered and we had to ask were the 5th plate was.

1 hour and still waiting... absolutely ridiculous. Cold food when they eventually did come. I'm a local and will not be returning. Don't bother going at night until they pick up their act.

Terrible food, uncooked fish, cold burger.... pretty sure they put aldi chips on my plate? just overall a complete disappointment especially considering it was my daughters 21'st which they were well aware of. Only positive was the sangria.

Trying to support our local businesses we decided on Kenmore Tavern for a dinner out. Ordering at 7.30pm, we were still waiting for food at 8.40pm. Finally when our steaks arrived, the vegetables were so underdone as to be almost raw, and they were cold. The "mushroom sauce" was basically gravox - no mushrooms to be seen. The steaks were poorly cooked and overdone. We were offered a round of drinks for waiting, but we'd just ordered our drinks, so this was a fairly useless offer. I have no idea what was going on in the kitchen on Saturday night, but it wasn't good. It wasn't as if the place was over-run with diners, so that can't be an excuse. Next time we'll drive a bit further into the city for dinner.

Went last week and the menu appears to have changed from the last time we went. It has been a while, as the last few times we weren't enamoured with the meal. They don't serve Veuve by the glass anymore, so had to get a bottle (that isn't necessarily a negative :)Meal this time was great, staff friendly, it was busy but we didn't wait too long. We will be back, but will have fingers crossed that the significant quality variations in the meals dependant on when visiting has been sorted.Seems to be much better mid week
