Hog's Breath Cafe Garden City

During my last visit to this restaurant, I had one of the worst veggie burgers I've ever tasted, so I was hesitant about returning. However, they appear to have introduced a new menu, and I decided to try the vegan schnitzel and avocado wrap. It was absolutely delicious! The sweet potato wedges were far superior to the dry hog's tail fries I had previously. I also enjoyed the apple crumble with ice cream, which was delightful. The service was friendly, and I appreciated the availability of vegan and vegetarian options. I'm really glad I gave it another chance!

For our appetizers, we tried the 'Loaded Potato Skins', a classic dish dusted with blackened seasoning, topped with bacon, melted cheddar, honey sweet chili sauce, and sour cream ($13.95), along with the 'Chicken Chimichanga' ($9.95). For the main course, we ordered the 'Hickory Smoked Prime Rib', which is served with a smoked hickory BBQ sauce and captures a true Tex-Mex flavor. It comes with curly fries and a garden salad, with a hefty portion weighing in at 400g for $41.95.

Hogs Breath Cafe has always been on the pricey side, but as a couple enjoying a nice dinner date with a lovely view at the new Garden City eatery, I believe it's worth the splurge. The food was excellent, and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. Plus, with the movies nearby, it’s a great option for a night out.

Last night was our second time dining at this Hog's Breath and we really enjoyed it. We arrived a bit early and there were only a few tables occupied so we were seated quickly and I ordered my favourite mocktail. <br/ <br/ Our waitress was very bright and explained the specials of the day and new meals. I usually just order a few entrees or sides so I decided to try the classic potato skins and g partner ordered a steak and ribs combo. We didn't wait long and then we were digging in. The skins looked like a small serving but they were actually very filling and I'm addicted to the fries and their bbq sauce. My partner loved the ribs and steak he thought was cooked wonderfully.
