Food was lovely, but we had entrees arriving after mains, mix ups, stuff ups, communication errors- all of which were reflected on the bill, adjusted after an argument. Service was atrocious and not worth the hassle for a nice curry. Perhaps worth another try in a few months.
The restaurant is located in the heart of the city. The taste of the food is not up to the mark. The rice was over cooked and the curry had no authentic Indian taste. I would want to eat in authentic Indian restaurant if it's in such a great location l
Scored 1 as the only good thing was the service albeit after a couple prompts. The food was bland with no flavour. We ordered Lamb Rogan Gosh, Chicken Tika Masala and Tandoory mixed platter; all three meals were well below par for Indian cuisine. I recognised that the deco has been upgraded, but what counts is the food taste.
Good service but horrible food. Worst daal tadk a (so called) of my life. The chef needs to learn what Daal tadka means. The naans were nice though and so was the staff. But when it comes to food this place was so disappointing. Even the chicken curry and pameer was awful. Not recommended for vegetarian dishes especially i guess.
There's a wide choice of cafes and dining establishments dotted along Southbank, with many offering lunchtime specials, including Gandhi Indian Kitchen & Laneway Stall. We enjoyed Butter Chicken and Makai Mutter Paneer (sweet corn, green beans and cottage cheese cooked in a tomato based sauce).
