Contribuiți la feedbackWe arrived waited to be seated by very uninterested young man. First we noticed menu comment that curries were suitable for 2 people. Prices were high $18 95 for a dish. we ordered 2 samosas and a fish curry with rice. The samosas were very small...mainly pastry tamarind sauce made them edible. As for the fish curry we counted 4 very small pieces of fish in a very mild bland curry when we asked for medium hot. The small serve was insulting for the price asked... We were charged extra for rice which often is included. As regular Indian diners we were shocked as lack of service, customer interest and food serve size standard. We will never return.
Surrounded by restaurants packed with people, we made a mistake coming here for dinner last night. I had the special, which included small portions of 2 curries (1 meat/1veg) what the menu didn't say was that I only had the choice of 2 meat curries and...not free choice of all the meat curries on the menu. Knowing this in advance would have saved 10 minutes of wondering what to order. I ordered the korma (which was very nice, the waiter said it was beef but it tasted like chicken) and a vege one which was so spicy that I couldn't eat it despite stating 3x that I wanted both curries as mild as possible. The plain naan was okay. I also ordered a tandoori chicken wing which although it was a good size, the meat was tough and stringy with blood still on the bone. The mushroom pakora was soggy on the inside but having never eaten one before, I can't say whether this is normal or not. My friend had the butter chicken which he didn't eat as it just tasted like tomato paste. He also had a bug in his ice cube! His juice was replaced. His spinach cheese naan tasted like neither. It was very hot last night, and it would have been nice if the table water was cold. I see good reviews from other customers on this site and can't believe we ate at the same restaurant perhaps the chef only works on the weekends.
We won't bother going back. The soup with a few pieces of not-so-great meat masquerading as Beef Masala was a large disappointment. A shame as the flavours were good. But they have the balance so wrong that there are LOTS of other places we'll go...back to before we waste another meal here.
Not a good experience... Despite its location advantage in South Bank area Brisbane , the attitude of Management is quite surprising. Mahatma Gandhi s Famous quote on a Customer Customer is A Boss Here ... is totally ignored here in this Restt. having the...name Of Gandhi .Restaurant here feels that they are the only Boss and take its Customers and Guests for granted. Even basic cutlery items are to be demanded ! Something surprising for a Restaurant serving Indian dishes . Food items are not that good too .. You do not feel like visiting one more time . Overall ..NOT a pleasant experience to visit this Gandhi ..
Not very good, prices mainly show ‘to share’ ordered butter chicken to share and really, it was only enough for one, 5 small pieces of chicken. Taste was very mediocre and rice was bland Main waiter didn’t know how to smile. Would not go back
