Edinburgh Castle Hotel - Brisbane

This place is a joke, the first meals we had here were great but that's where the good points stop! They continued steadily downhill from there until the other day when I was dealt the final straw, we ordered 2 x $12.90 Lunch Steak Specials(which is supposed consists of 2 x pots of beer, 2 x 200g Rump Steaks, w/ Chips, Salad

Quiet on a Monday for lunch so instant service, good heartly meals enjoyed by everyone parking at rear with ramp .

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, TV with current games on. Not flash but quick service and nice burger and chips. Including pint of beer - $15. Don't expect anything other than a pub, that's what it is! Great to drop in for a quick and wholesome lunch in the bar.

Two out of threw times we have been, the food has been delicious, despite having to wait an hour and a half for one of the meals but we were well compensated so we were happy to go back. The asian chef in the kitchen makes an awesome pasta and a great warm thai beef salad, I liked the salad so much that I wanted it again and we went back. Different chef, different outcome. Dissappointing result, and my girlfriend disliked her meal and didn't want to finish it. I will be back to this hotel, as long as the asian chef is on. He is very talented and very friendly, apologise for not being able to give 5 stars.

Meals always nice, Chef very friendly and easy to approach. Some beers on tap on special, good value. Staff are always nice and easy to talk to. Dining Room Furniture not too flash, but good food makes up for it.
