Chermside Tavern - Brisbane

Stumbled across this place by accident with the kids on a Saturday night.I had the steak with spare rib topper. Holy smokes. Cooked to perfection (im fussy and have my steak blue) rest of meals were spot on. Great fast service. So good we came back for lunch the next day. $10 lunches unbeatable. Would go back in a beat

Enjoyed an alfresco lunch here on a Saturday afternoon and were well satisfied. 3 of our party had the $10 lunch special - steak Dianne (more like crumbed schnitzel with steak Dianne sauce) but with salad and delicious chips was a very good deal. 2 enjoyed good quantity of calamari - nicely cooked, and again a fresh side salad and lovely chips. A $17 half lobster mornay was the choice of the 4th of our party. It was small, and had been frozen so was less tasty than ideal, but nonetheless represented very good value for money (accompanied by a generous portion of rice) Well priced drinks complemented the casual dining experience. Service was fine, and ordering at the bar efficient / no fuss.

What I like best about the Chermside Tavern is the location !! Dine inside or alfresco , the outlet provides its patrons with a quality atmosphere , value for money meals ... very polite, friendly staff ...

I was actually surprised that in such great location, they serve such poor quality food. Service was slow and not very well mannered. Steak was way overcooked and veg were impossible to eat.

Chermside Tavern is inside the Westfield shopping centre. It has a good menu with a variety of pub grub and lunch specials at $10. We had the duck spring rolls and wedges it was around $20 but the portion size was good. I would visit again
