Brewhouse Brisbane

Had the battered flathead last night, bad, bad, bad, soggy batter and fish seemed to have been frozen, odd flavour. Also side order of potato gem type, from packet, no crunch. Over price pub meal. Great venue, great staff, lousy food.

Attended their NYE promotion and was mislead by 'included ' 'tapas '. The tapas were exchangeable with drinks which was ok but staff were not ready for the demand for food. Ordered food at the bar and was given a table number scribbled on a coaster. Was made to wait 2 hours. Tried to enquire about wait times and was treated with disdain by the wait staff only to be told my number wasn 't real. Enquires at the bar and was reassured that my order number was real but that it had only been logged 1 hour after I actually placed the order. Nearly 3 hours later and I 'm still waiting and being treated with disdain by the wait staff. Used to come every weekend but pretty annoyed now. Update: Emily from the the wait staff has been incredible and ensured that we received both our meals and compensation. Among a raft of issues, Emily went out of her to ensure that everything was made right. We just finished our meals thanks to Emily.

I had a meal here recently with family and it was our first time there since the renovations and new Al Fresco garden setting was added. It is now a bit of an oasis, really nice in such a busy location. Love the fish pond, nice touch. Our meals were very good and with generous portions too. Even the house wine was good quality! I was impressed and will return!

As far as pub food goes this place is quite posh. They are always open to feedback and menu changes. Parking out back. Pretty popular with the hospital staff.

Great location. Lovely looking pub. We only came for a quick drink before dinner. The restaurant looks great. Family friendly. Service was a little lacking but they had a good selection of beers on tab.
