Went for lunch with my wife. It's in the the middle of the suburbs and has a very cosy atmosphere in a converted corner shop. Food was tasty and original. The spicy muffin with a Clove chutney was a great starter. Very busy considering the "out of the way" location. Obviously they have created a buzz in the local area. Great to see a small thriving business in the suburbs. Good job guys ...
A group of us booked a table. Friday nights are apparently themed each month. December is seafood and there were a few of us who do not eat seafood. There was a quiche and I don't eat egg. So the staff suggested a plate of sides for my meal. There was quail so I opted for that. It arrived with feet attached. The friend beside me was horrified and had it returned to the kitchen to have the tiny feet removed. Of course it was pink and almost raw. Raw quail is also horrific. The desserts were chocolate pots which were described as melted lint chocolate and anyone could do that! The flan was under cooked as this stuck to the spoon. This is extremely pretentious and really very ordinary food for the price.
