Beastie Burgers - Brisbane

If you're craving a burger, this place is a great option for the real deal. My burger had a delicious bun, crispy salad, and was very tasty.

I enjoyed the pulled pork burger with kale coleslaw, it was really good. However, the chicken burger with bacon was lacking in flavor. The onion rings were soggy and extremely salty, making them inedible. The staff quickly apologized and brought out a fresh batch, which tasted much better. The sweet potato chips were tasty. The kids burger consisted of a meat patty cut in half and placed in a large bun, which my children found confusing as they expected it to fill the entire bun. Overall, the experience was okay but I probably wouldn't return.

Located in Southbank, these burgers were quite tasty. Large patties, great flavor, freshly made. The onion rings and potato wedges were also delicious. So good we went twice for dinner during our 3 days in Brisbane.

My group of 6 stopped by just before the restaurant closed. Even though the kitchen staff was winding down, they kindly made us each a burger to go. The ground rump burgers were delicious and the salad ingredients were fresh. The large burgers were reasonably priced and definitely a filling meal on their own.

Conveniently located in Southbank (for those of us on foot in the city and good for people watching). The staff were fairly friendly, and there was nice outdoor seating (nothing fancy at all, plain tables). For $38 AUD, we got 2 burgers, fries (extra cost), and split one beer. They provide a free container of cold tap water (tastes fine and is safe in Australia) that you can take to your table. The burgers were huge and very delicious, which they should be at about $14 AUD each. However, the burgers are loaded with extra and are similarly priced to an upscale burger in the US. The burgers don't include fries but those we bought and shared were very tasty. Yes, food is a little more expensive in Australia, but I don't mind much if it is in a good location and still tastes good (as opposed to tiny and tasteless like Ole Restaurant nearby...which we had abandoned to come here). If you want an awesome burger, this was great.
