Aquila Caffe Bar - Brisbane

Pan fried gnocchi, grilled mushrooms, kale chips, confit garlic, parmesan, truffle oil a gooey poached egg on top for breakfast was so different and fresh.A standout from the normal breakfast offerings in Brisbane.

Dear Aquila,<br/ <br/ My colleagues I would like to thank you for making life so easy keeping it real coffee, brekkie, lunch, pizza, drinks you name it we love it. Reliably enjoyable, reasonably priced, fab team, good menu. You’re always busy but somehow there’s enough space for everyone. We savour the real Melbourne feel here. Came for a mid week lunch and was surprised to find the restaurant completely packed. We were seated promptly but then forgotten about until we flagged someone down to take our order. That would probably be my only complaint though.<br/ <br/ Our food was served extremely quickly and pizzas were really tasty. I was impressed to see there was no extra charge for gluten free bases bravo guys, this is something I've never seen before and should be commended! My group wasn't keen on these though so I didn't get to try them! We had the lamb special pizza which my group claimed was delicious. We also had the margarita which was ok nothing amazing but tasty. My favourite was the pumpkin pizza really great flavours, my favourite of the day. <br/ <br/ Bases were nice too, just need to be served with sharper knives to get through the crust as it was near impossible with the regular knives. <br/ <br/ A busy little spot with good quality food.

Great staff. Efficient. Good coffee. Always busy. Table service. Easy to quick order. Recommended for rover end of town meetings. How much more do I need to write to get this review posted?

Came here with a group of friends and was very impressed with the quality and quantity of food. there were a lot of ppl in the restaurant but the waitress still seated us promptly and did everything rly well, so kudos to her. <br/ <br/ pizzas were great. got the magherita, carnivore and tropicana. gluten free based pizzas thankfully don’t come at an extra charge judging all the restaurants that make us pay extra just bc we have allergies/intolerances : but they are actually smaller than 11” compared to the normal pizza base. gluten free pizza still tastes as good even my friend was surprised ! lovely amounts of ingredients. bacon and chicken were definitely a lil too overcooked either charred to death or dry as heck for my liking but the best pizzas come with loads of cheese and have a good base so this satisfied that. not sure if it’s worth it for the prices considering how the protein pizzas are pricier but aren’t as great but ~ ~ oh well. <br/ <br/ thick cut chips came in a big bowl. great side. well seasoned. <br/ <br/ fettuccine marinara seafood pasta was what raised the bar since the pizzas were only a 4/5 but the pasta was 5/5 so def worth trying<br/ <br/ will definitely consider popping by again~ only disappointment apart from overcooked proteins was that the plates they handed out to us at the start weren’t completely free. i get that they’re busy and would probably miss a small spot but it still kinda made me worry abt their cleanliness especially when busy
