Cafe 21 - BRISBANE CITY

This gorgeous building was once the treasury building but is now home to a casino and a restaurant, Cafe 21. There is a good choice on the menu from fish to pizza and burgers. The Club Sandwich is huge and enough to feed 2 people. Prices are very reasonable.The service is quick and the staff are friendly. Not a top end restaurant but good for a night out, especially if you want a meal before a night in the casino.

This is one of the menu items from April 2008 (the menu changes periodically and I think there were 2-3 options at the time). It's a place where you can eat delicious food at an affordable price. I would recommend it to backpackers, students, and working holiday travelers.

This was a great cafe and we had dined there many times over the years. However the area in which the cafe was - in the casino, was revamped a LONG time ago and is now a very good asian fusion restaurant called "The Fat Noodle" - the brainchild of celebrity chef Luke Nguyen: its excellent. The pastries, cakes, burgers etc which were once served in Cafe 21, are now served in "The Kitchen" which can be accessed directly from the entrance on the right hand side of the main casino entrance.

Good variety of food from Cakes sandwiches and Steaks where you can have a coffee or beer. Staff are alway friendly and keen to help you in anyway

This former Treasury Building is now a casino. And Cafe 21 is a good place to enjoy the beautiful interior and have lunch too!
