Contribuiți la feedbackEven though the Open LED sign was turned off, L D Bistro is actually open. I was the only customer at noon and then it became 1/2 full at 12:30pm. The thing about restaurants with the word bistro in the name always puts a smile on my face. It reminds me of the old TV sitcom Three 's Company where Jack Tripper owned Jack 's Bistro. That show was hilarious. There 's none of that wackiness here though. I had the fried shrimp calamari $13 as my appetizer. That was good. They put a bed of tomato red sauce on the bottom with some capers. It would have been better if there were tarter sauce available. Chef 's choice I guess. It was still good. For my entree, I took advantage of the lunch special $14.50, which comes with a beer or a soft drink. My grilled Angus top sirloin steak came out well done 'ish, even though I ordered it medium. It is challenging, to say the least, to cook that thin piece of meat right. Regardless, still good. It took about 35 minutes for the entree to come out if you have a limited timed lunch break like I do. You pay at the cashier when you are done, which is more efficient. Service was excellent.

We decided to give this restaurant a try today and were very happy with the quality of the food. The breakfast and lunch special between 11:30-2pm for $14.50 that comes with either a pint of beer or a soft drink was excellent. I enjoyed the sirloin steak special that came with seasonal vegetables (zucchini and squash today) and mashed potatoes. The cheeseburger was excellent as well.
I have been driving by this restaurant in the small shopping center on old county road. I finally stopped in last week. It looked like it was closed but no. I spoke with the young woman asking if they make Hamburgers. Yes of course. It was excellent- a bakery type bun- fresh lettuce/ tomato and actually good fry's. This place looks like a movie set, expecting some bad guy slamming thru the front door., taking over one of the classic 50's/60's red leatherette booths. A real funky place, that probably does a good bar business. Went back today, same order, same results- excellent! This a family biz and if you don't immediately see anyone around lunch time, they'll be there. Try it. I bet their full menu is treat! All American Cheeseburger
