The Esplanade Cafe - Brighton

When sat under the loudspeaker, was a little loud, could have turned a little off so that people could talk

My Steak great, beef pie good, 2 tuna nicoises were overcooked I’m told. Service fast and good in Cafe. Ambience not good due to very noisy and loud music making it hard to talk for 4 of us. Was too windy to sit outside today.

The 4 friends really enjoyed our lunch outside at the Espy, Brighton. Food was good, tasty and quick, well presented and staff friendly too. We’ll be back????????

We had the daily special of lasagna, which was a disgusting cold, soggy, cheesy mess, containing a single thin layer of mince and was no cheaper than most of the other dishes. It was accompanied by a nice salad, with dressing, and a serve of nicely done chips (fries). The manager agreed that the food was not up to scratch and offered us a free drink or a dessert, both of which we declined. If you do go there during nice weather, be prepared to walk a long way if you are driving, because you will be lucky to find a parking spot on this side of the train line.

Very poor quality, tasteless meals. Average service but grossly understaffed reflects poor management. Would not recommend nor go here again. Has deteriorated in recent year or so
