The St James Lounge Grill

We were in Brighton for a wedding and spent ages looking for a quality looking restaurant. this restaurant looked different from outside and very stylish. we went in and we were immediately met by the owner and shown a nice romantic table. we discussed the menu and I went with his recommendation for his special cut of steak. my girlfriend also went with a different recommendation. Well we had our beautiful starters and then when the main course arrived it looked beautiful and the quality and taste was stunning. we also had some equally stunning deserts as the owner recommended. great selection of wine. we were given a free aperitif with our bill. We had a great time chatting to the Italian owner and the rest of the staff. this restaurant exceeded our expectation and we had a fantastic time. shame we had to eat at the wedding the next night. we will be returning to Brighton soon and definitely going to eat at the St James Lounge and Grill. we highly recommend this restaurant especially for couples and for special occasions I wish we lived locally. well done and good luck for the future.

Passed this on the way back to Guest House, early Sat evening. The warm welcome and great menu made us book for the following evening. Met with glass of Prosecco and great conversation with Andrea, never mind the fab menu and very different and interesting wine list. Recommendations superb. Thank you for a great evening. Went wit my colleague on night in September. We had a selection of starter and baby back ribs and mixed fish platter as main. The food is superb and the service professional and attentive. I will go back soon.

I've tried most of the restaurants in Brighton. It was a very good surprise when I discovered this one. Andrea and Gio makes you feel at home. Food is just like home... and wine, you must try. Strongly recommend for those who love food.

My partner and I were passing by this new brand restaurant in the Kemptown area. We like to try new places and this one looked very busy from the outside, it was a Saturday night...no surprise! We had to wait 10 minutes for the table to be available, it was no trouble since they have a bar-area. After a drink and some live jazz music we had our seat. Everything was perfect and we were such honoured to be the first customers to try their new fresh special amazing pasta dish in the photo). Accurate selection of wine, friendly service and incredible food. Well done St James! We will definitely be back ! Thank you for hosting us !
