The Hove Park Tavern

I went to this restaurant with my family to watch a soccer game and ordered the nachos. Unfortunately, they only came with cheese and no salsa, sour cream, or jalapeños. When we asked for salsa, we were given a small pot on the side, and when we asked for jalapeños, they were just thrown on top. The dish was disappointing and not what we expected. The burger we ordered was also terrible, and the service we received was unfriendly. It's no surprise that the pub is always half empty. We will not be returning.

My friend and I decided to grab lunch after shopping at the nearby retail park. The menu at the restaurant looked good and the prices for food and drinks were reasonable. We both chose pukka pies from the small oven on display and added a side of chips. Our total bill came to a very affordable amount, making it a great option for a casual meal out. The server was friendly, the bathrooms were cold but clean, and there were people playing pool and the TV was on in the background. Overall, it was a typical pub experience, and as they say on Love Island, "It is what it is".

I went to the pub with friends for a concert. The main issue was the lack of parking nearby and the strict parking attendants. The pub is a great local spot, but unfortunately, the layout is not ideal for hosting large events with many attendees. Due to the poor layout, there was limited seating, forcing us to stand for hours which was uncomfortable. Despite this, the staff were extremely friendly and fun, making our experience enjoyable. We were very grateful for their exceptional service and their employer should be proud of them for being such a fantastic team.

Visited this lunchtime with my husband – ordered a burger for him and chicken Caesar salad for myself. My husband made a few alterations to the set burger which was not a problem. Swift, polite service and food was outstanding. Generous portions and a real...‘made from scratch’ feel about both dishes which is quite rare these days. Thank you – we will be back

This is the most friendly and welcoming pub every time I'm here I enjoy excellent entertainment and the nicest bar team.
