Jr's Midway Cafe - Brighton

Visited on a weekend with my family and will never recommend again. Food was cold and disgusting wouldn't even feed it to my dogs you need to get a better cook in on the weekends.its as if the cook doesn't care about the business everything is tastless. Friends off mine have been in on a Monday or Tuesday and said the food was delicious and nice and hot. So I am assuming that there is a different cook on those days so will return on those two days. Will never return on the weekend.have been there a few times before on a Friday and Saturday sign says they are open until 3 but I have been there at 215 and the doors are locked and the signs are off and have seen the staff sitting outside smoking at that time.nothing like taking advantage of your boss.i think the owner should start taking a look at the way the business is being run before he looses everything.there is all kind of people looking for work out there.little advise to the owner start looking at what is happening to your business before they ruin it

I travel a lot on the 401 and can never find a Family Restaurant close to the 401. It's perfect ....No more On Route for me. The service was very pleasant and fast, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was very clean. And what a view, you can see lake Ontario. If you have kids,great place for them to stretch their legs. I highly recommend his place and have been back 3 times.

One pulls off the road at the well marked rest stop to find a gas bar and a McDonalds--with a line from here to kingdom come. 50 meters up the hill is Jrs Midway Cafe. No line ups. Nice view, Quiet. Great tuna salad sandwiches to go (or whatever you like) plus you can get a nice pack of veggies to munch on in the car. Nice family run restaurant--and they remembered us after a 6 week span in trips. Get off the beaten track for a bit a try this great little spot out. .

This brunch experience was the worst I have ever had. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service was terrible. Upon entering, we were unsure whether to choose a table or wait. After asking the cashier, we were told to "just wait." A waitress eventually seated us with a scowl, took our drink orders, and searched for menus. I requested tea with the bag on the side, but it was not provided. The food we ordered was bland, cold, and unappetizing. My husband and son had ordered coffee but were never offered a refill. No one checked on our table, and the staff did not acknowledge us as we ate. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

We decided to try this restaurant because we often see many cars in the parking lot. Unfortunately, it was a mistake. I ordered a chicken burger with fries, while my wife ordered pancakes. The chicken burger had a processed patty, processed cheese, iceberg lettuce, and a cheap white bun. The pancakes my wife received were large, cold, and made from pancake mix. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was lacking. It feels like something out of a 60's diner. It is unlikely that people from the Greater Toronto Area will visit this place again.
