Tapas Revolution Brighton

We were really disappointed because we had high expectations. The food was overcooked and tough, and there were items missing from the menu, including beef, on a Friday evening. Ultimately, we decided to head to the Mexican restaurant around the corner and start fresh. I've been quite generous with the stars I've given.

Unfortunately, when we arrived for our 8:30 reservation, there was no one to greet us. All the tables were dirty, and there were glasses scattered everywhere. While I understand that they had a busy day with limited staff, it did dampen our evening, especially since it was my wife's birthday. When we overheard one of the waiters apologizing and offering discounts and free wine to the table next to us, we decided to leave.

Terrible service throughout, started at the top with management.

Food was second rate. Some dishes barely warm. Restaurant was very noisy.

Poor service and staff who would clearly rather be anywhere else. Arrived and said we had a table booked to be told “yeah just sit wherever” and that was pretty much the tone of service throughout the evening. Food tasted great, but the portions were very very small indeed, 7 padron peppers for example, and that was a theme that continued, much much smaller than other Tapas Revolution restaurants I’ve been to. One dish was missing, we asked for it multiple times, and it eventually arrived once we had finished the rest of our meal. When we asked for it to be sent back, we were looked at like we were dirt before the server rolled her eyes and walked off with a deliberately loud sigh. Definitely one to avoid for me in the future
