Panda Chinese - Bridgeport

The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Everything tasted fresh, and the Kung Pao Chicken with peanuts had just the right level of spiciness. The egg rolls were served hot and seemed freshly made, which is a huge plus for me since Chinese fast food egg rolls often taste like they were prepared hours earlier. Overall, I was very satisfied. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with peanuts, Chicken Lo Mein, and a pork egg roll.

The soup was very unappetizing and not worth the price.

The Chinese dishes can be hit or miss, but at Panda, the food always tastes fresh, perfectly cooked, and wonderfully seasoned. It’s never overly greasy, which can often be the case elsewhere. The vegetables are always fresh and cooked just right. The chicken with broccoli is the best I’ve ever had, and I highly recommend trying the special fried rice—it's a meal on its own. The meat dishes are generous portions, always tender, and never filled with unappetizing bits. The spring rolls are phenomenal, not overly oily at all. The front of the restaurant is managed by Cindy, who is no-nonsense and incredibly professional—I've never seen her slack off. Although I no longer work nearby, whenever I crave Chinese takeout, I continue to drive over 10 miles to ensure I can enjoy the best food possible from Panda.

This restaurant is definitely no-frills, located in the heart of Bridgeport. It won’t blow you away, and many Americans might not appreciate it since it's far from traditional American cuisine – it’s not overly sweet or greasy. The portion sizes are satisfactory for the price, offering a welcome return to more authentic Chinese food.

As always, the food was a perfect 5 out of 5. However, placing my order was a bit more complicated than usual, and the lunch special I chose didn't include everything listed on the menu. Speaking of the menu, I was presented with a new one, but it came with a confusing layout. When I asked for the bill based on what I ordered, I was charged for every item separately. If they intend to raise their prices, they really need to make sure their menu is accurate first. Otherwise, the next customer might end up reaching out to a lawyer instead of writing a review.
