Contribuiți la feedbackThe elderly woman who owns and operates this restaurant is incredibly unpleasant. Her behavior is truly terrible, from shouting at customers in line to yelling at her staff. It's unclear why she continues to work in this industry if she seems to dislike everyone so intensely. It would be beneficial for her to focus on ordering enough supplies so that they do not constantly run out of items.
Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed a long line (expected during lunchtime) and observed the hardworking team. As I approached the counter, two male employees were efficiently serving customers, until they were abruptly shushed by a female staff member. I was taken aback by her behavior. She then rudely asked for my order and rushed me through it, taking away the opportunity for me to add on additional items. Her treatment of the employees was unnecessary and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone in line. I decided not to return to this Subway location, feeling sorry for the mistreated employees. I refrained from speaking up in fear of escalating the situation.
The photo for this Subway location is incorrect, as it is actually located in the service station between Porthcawl and South Cornelly, not in Porthcawl. I have been to this Subway multiple times and have had mixed experiences, primarily with the speed of service. During busy times, such as lunchtime, they always appear to be understaffed, causing orders to be processed slowly and the queue to grow. This can be frustrating for those who work nearby, like myself, as I have limited time for my lunch break. I have also noticed a consistent shortage of certain options, which may be a coincidence during my visits, but it is worth mentioning. However, the staff are always helpful and friendly, despite the challenges they face. It may be beneficial to have more staff on shift to alleviate stress and provide more positive feedback to boost their morale.
Worst subway I have ever been to. Waiting over 30 minutes in the Que when there were 3 members of staff on standing there just watching. Then when we finally got served the young girl decided to give the bread away to people that had ordered from just eat when I clearly asked for it. She grabbed them and went I’m having them to her college. (The owners daughter)
We live locally and have visited here quite regularly. Firstly this is no reflection on the staff who are always pleasant and helpful and have gone out of their way to help disabled visitors when I have been in there, but the reason for the poor rating is that by 6pm most nights they have run out of the most popular fillings. If you visit, you will normally hear: We 've run out of Meatballs ' (they are frozen, so just open a fresh bag! Is it ok to give you chilli cheese, we 've run out of normal? (err no it isn 't ok, open another pack! Sorry we haven ' t got any of that bread left.. You get the picture. It 's never only one thing and it 's every time we visit, I have yet to go there and not found stuff off the menu. Meatballs are very rarely on it. If this were a one off, then that would be fine, but it is literally every single time we go to visit (at least once a month , so we 've literally stopped bothering to go there. Either they are a Subway or they aren 't. Fed up of being disappointed. Haven 't been since October and won 't be going again any time soon, may as well drive to Port Talbot where everything is in stock.
