Came up as somewhere to camp, it has hook up points dotted around. Literally just a field. Fine if you just want to get your head down somewhere but not somewhere you'd want to enjoy a camping experience. There is 2 toilets and 1 shower for each sex. There is no lock on the shower just as a curtain which didn't feel great. It was £25 for the night with hook up which we found to be quite steep considering other campsites we've stayed in with nicer facilities
Stayed 3 nights over the weekend and had a great time. Food and service is fantastic, everyone was so friendly. Rooms are lovely, we had the family room which was very spacious. Could hear some laughter every now and again from the pub below on one night but our white noise machine drowned it out easily and it didn’t last long. My daughter also loved the cows in the field next to the car park! Rooms: 5
I stayed at the Fox and Hounds for two nights recently. The hotel rooms are quite dated and the TV is minute, however this is more than made up for by the lovely staff and really good service with a smile. The price for bed and breakfast is also very pocket friendly. The food generally was acceptable, but the breakfasts were very good indeed. One of the most endearing aspects to this hotel is that it is so dog friendly. Dogs were positively welcomed, with dog treats in the passage outside the bedrooms. As a dog person I loved that!
Unfortunately we had an issue with mould in our room but staff sorted out without a fuss. Location fantastic but weather lousy so didn't get to walk much of the moor. Food was superb and very reasonable and staff very helpful Walkability: Just up the lane you get to the moors and a very large field about half way up which was great for walking our dog first and last thing Food drinks: Very reasonable. Lovely food and lots to choose from
