Stumble in to this vaulted cellar kitchen, at the foot of the gargoyle to be greeted by a roaring fire straddled by a huge grill, a roast chicken somewhat nonchalantly being basted into buttery brilliance on the open...fire in front of you. Great service, super house wine. We had great slabs of steak smokily grilled on that fire interspersed with shovels of a wonderful tartiflette. It may have been the wine or the superheated buttery air but I loved it. We all did. The very best in Briancon.
My wife and ate here for lunch on Valentine's day. was full, but everyone who came in got a table. I can see it being pretty crowded for dinner, but if you're a couple you should be fine. we had the house tartiflette and the...lamb tagine (was the daily special). both we're superb and tasted extremely fresh. we topped it off with a creme brulee, which was one of the best we've had. we wish we had come earlier in our trip so we had time to go back. definitely a meal to have if you're around.
We booked a table in advance, it was pretty full when we came, but I think you can find a table if you are couple. In the main room you have a huge chimney where they grill all the meat. We came specially for raclette,...even though I was about to change my mind and go for one of their amazing stakes! Cheese and all the i fridge ta are all locally sourced. The cheese for raclette was not as huge as usuals, but it was Bio and amazingly delicious. I think it made our evening. You can’t eat nothing else, so do t take starter. Thank you for such a great experience!
Open fire slow cooking Lamb for five hours makes the centre stage of this delightful place. Excellent restaurant with great variation of local dishes and wines.
We (2 families with four adults and four children) spent an excellent evening at the beautiful place. the staff was friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and very tasty!
