Océanopolis Restauration - Brest

The place is exceptional! There are many very interesting marine animals. The atmosphere is large and the different climates are very well reproduced. The explanations are clear and accurate. However, there are many people during school holidays and you can find yourself waiting several minutes to access some aquariums.

Incredible location with a large number of marine species spread over 3 climate-based pavilions. Superb aquarium visited in a great afternoon. The 3D paleochean is very interesting, discovering marine species dating from several million years. Beautiful souvenir shop Many people at the beginning of August, a somewhat high price but despite that, a great experience in this place!

Nice aquarium in Brest. 3 large separate spaces: tropical zone, polar area and Brittany. The 3 zones have beautiful specimens but the tropics and arctic are clearly more attractive for both small and large. Beautiful and large aquariums to admire sharks, otters, manchots, seals... It's beautiful. Although we spend time there, at least 3-4 hours without too much reading the explanations but looking at animal feeding animations, I find that this aquarium is medium-sized and deserves to present more specimens. Restaurant on site, no more, but not given (13€ salad, 9,5€ child menu). Playful activities in each of the spaces at least, especially for children, would be one more. Aquarium visited at the end of July 2022, without too much world and very fortunately because to arrive to see in each of the portholes or small aquatic spaces you must be a little patient.
