The Shell Shack Seafood - Brentwood

Great local seafood option. I had the curry salmon and blackened salmon dishes. The blackened salmon was the better of the two. It was moist and flavorful. Also had the crab cake fried rice side since the collard greens were not available. The crab cake was breaded and there was no residual egg from the fried rice which is good. Looking forward to trying a lunch entree.

I've been here before and everything was freshly prepared and good. Today, I ordered the sampler. I ordered at the counter and waited an obscene amount of time for what I ordered. To my dismay, once I received my order and left the building to head home, once at a long light, I decided I wanted a corn fritter, we'll imagine my surprise that everything that was supposed to be hot was cold and everything that was supposed to be cold was hot. So disappointed, I'd really wanted to enjoy that platter as a little treat to me. Do better if you want me to continue to support you.

My experience was HORRIBLE. We drove 30 mins to try out the new spot. The online order option on the website was not working so we decided to drive the 30 mins and wait. I was told our food would be done in 45 mins. We were ok with that wait time. After waiting 40 minutes , I was told my food would be ANOTHER 30 minutes. I was offered a full refund. Waste of time and gas. Staff were nice but disappointing experience to say the least.

This was the absolute worse experience. I traveled over 30 minutes away after hearing about this business on FOX 5. I stood in line for almost 20 minutes just for a lady to shout out to the line that they are no longer taking orders because the kitchen is over whelmed. This announcement was made at 7:00 a whole hours before they close. The people in their were already waiting for almost 2 hours for their food. This was just an overall bad experience.

I had to try their DMV Black Restaurant Week special. Fried whiting sandwich, seasoned fries, corn fritters, and a tropical sips drink for $20. Super filling. They add a lot of fish to the one sandwich, so you're getting your money's worth. The fish needed a bit more seasoning for my taste buds. But I love how they dress it with barbecue sauce the sweetness gives it a kick. The season fries were delicious, but cold. Busy day for them you could tell. I'm not the biggest corn fritters person, but if that's your jam you would enjoy them! I went with the mango Tropical Sips drink. It's delicious. I love the ginger taste. Added a little rum to kick it up a notch so good!
