Contribuiți la feedbackService levels have gone down considerably over the last few months and today the ultimate taking of the mick. Phoned them several times since pm to request a take away order, no answer or engaged tone. Eventually I drive there and noted the place was open, so I went to physical make my order. Two tables had customers dining in and there about adults on front me waiting at the cash till : payments counter. I asked chap in front of me, he told me was in there for minutes. A lady in front of me said she was there for one hour since giving her order for her takeaway me was still waiting. I asked the waitress if they were doing takeaways , she didn’t even look at me and said yes , I asked how long would it take she said minutes ,, I don’t know … “ she couldn’t be bothered and in the meanwhile the landline phone kept on ringing … I left . Totally appalling
Worst service and food, very poor quality of food and overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend it, totally waste of money.
I hadn’t been here for years. So wasn’t sure what to expect. And I travelled with my elderly mum on the train all the way to Alperton station to Maru’s. We ordered the potato Bhajia to share and samosa chaat along with the Indian tea....But I was very disappointed, the service was slow and not great and one lady serving the whole time. One lady ordered her food and got hers before we got our food even though we waited patiently to order our food and food to come. Definitely not a service with a smile and I wouldn’t come back here again. Will fo to more local places! It’s a shame but I don’t think this place will ever live up to its expectations.
Horrible service (we waited min for our food) the passion juice was very very sour and stale the bhajia were not to normal standards they charged us extra for food and drink we didn’t order hygiene is TERRIBLE,...no social distancing, waiters don’t wash hands between cleaning tables and serving your food no hand sanitizer the waitress put our tomato ketchup bottle in the washing bucket and then proceeded to give us the same ketchup I would not at all recommend coming here
The new owner is too concerned trying to save money, rather than invest in the business. Ruined a historical location with a priceless reputation through greed. The bhajyas were the best, we have done a mile round trip for them in the past! Now...there is not enough staff, the service and poor and you feel like a liability for asking for basics (like clean cutlery). The waitress looked annoyed every time we made a request. They were extremely rude to a lady who was eating on her own was horrible to witness. Anyway, bhajya was too thick, undercooked and bland. Chips frozen and undercooked. Drinks horrible. Wait too long. It’s such a shame as poor management and greed is going to cost this place, he’s gone and handed in his fishing rod for a single fish then will blame covid when things go wrong. Wasn’t receptive to our complaints believing we just wanted a freebie when in reality it’s sad to see a restaurant I love in decline.
