It’s a bit dark and sad but I didn’t really mind as I was ordering take away. The staff is polite and helpful. The menu contains...all Polish food you can expect: pierogi(dumplings), barszcz(beetroot soup), chicken, schabowy(pork escalopes), fish... I ordered schabowy with potatoes and salad mix. The patatoes were excellent, really tasty but the meat was very dry. That was very disappointing! It felt like it was prepared in a hurry, not cooked properly. I don’t know if I try them again as schabowy is kind of traditional Polish dish and if you can’t do it then it simply doesn’t look good. On a separate note portions are fairly big, not that expensive as other Polish restaurants (which sometimes prices can be excessive).
Popped in for the set lunch for cucumber soup and meatloaf. Good portion size and tasty. No issues with service. Whole place in very clean and tidy and a welcome addition to Neasden.
I have visited this restaurant a number, it has since changed it's name to Family restaurant. The food is very good but the service on the last visit was very confusing. I am not sure what planet the girl was on but she seemed to...neither understand Polish or English. I asked for another bottle of sparkling mineral water, she bought me a glass of tap. We ordered barszcz and zurek, my soup turned up but no one else's but she brought out the potato pancakes in the meantime. I asked her to take my soup away so I could eat with everyone else. She then brought out my main and my soup at the same time! I said that soup is a starter why are you bringing it with my main. The barszcz was served with the other mains. All a very strange eating experience. I am surprised she didn't bring out my soup as dessert.
Lovely food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. The only problem with this place is it’s size, absolutely tiny room. I would recommend booking, to make sure you will get table. Overall highly recommended.
Polish kitchen at its best. At the most unlikely place you would imagine to find good cousin, off the Neasden station. Off the road that look pretty rough you enter welcoming and warmth place. Food is as good as it gets. Would never find the...place if wasn’t invited for a birthday really happy o did. Will visit again
