That said, I could tell that much of the food here was not made from scratch—like the salsa, tortillas, queso puffs, and chips. It’s hard to go wrong with cheese enchiladas, so that’s what I ordered, and they were decent. The service was notable; all the staff were very attentive and friendly, and their positive attitude was infectious, which I really appreciated. I was surprised that such a large restaurant was so slow, especially considering it was raining outside. The decor didn’t quite come together and left something to be desired. Despite these issues, I would still recommend it, as I’m not too familiar with other Mexican options in the area.
What a great little place to visit! The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. The fajitas were incredibly tender—literally melted in my mouth. A bit more cracked pepper would have made them perfect. The cheese enchilada was tasty, and the tamales were definitely above average for a restaurant. I can definitely see myself coming back in the future.
Stopped in to have dinner on our way back from Houston. We're new to the area. Food was outstanding. Loved the salsa and chips too.
We both ordered tacos, cheese enchiladas, and I also tried a tamale. Everything was tasty—not exceptional, but definitely enjoyable. The chips and salsa were also good, with the option to add fresh onion and cilantro or enjoy it plain. Prices are very reasonable, and my wife and I left feeling satisfied without breaking the bank. Overall, it was a pleasant meal!
Date of visit, July 17-22 The only reason for two stars is that the place was not filthy. I had a simple plate that is a staple for any Mexican restaurant, a combo of 1 cheese enchilada, 1 taco 1 Beef Chile Relleno with beans and rice along with amargarita. The ground beef stuff they put in the taco and the Chile Relleno had the consistency of canned cat food and was notvery good. They used American cheese in the enchilada which melted out of the tortilla while in the oven. The enchilada wassmothered in some type of funky gravy with little taste and was not very visually appealing. Lastly the margarita had nonoticeable trace of tequila, just tasted like mixer. Another customer a couple of booths away sent her margarita back with thesame compliant. It had been about five years since my previous visit, and nothing has changed for the better. This one will bemy last and this place should be avoided. Sock
