Contribuiți la feedbackAbsolutely the best!! I stop in every Saturday and Sunday. Their croissants are flaky layers of melt in your mouth buttery goodness. I am addicted to their twice baked chocolate croissants... the dark chocolate is perfectly balanced with sweetness.. (it really is the perfect balance of 'gooeysweetlove ' without being obnoxious) They always have a great selection of savory breakfast choices too. (I recommend the quiche. Wash it all down with a cup of Stump Town coffee, while you chat with the locals (and not so locals), and it 's the perfect start to a day.
Seriously, when you have a new food option open up in Kitsap with this level of experience, you don't just wait to hear what everyone is saying ... you run and try it yourself asap. And I did. It's not worth describing this little taste of heaven on earth; just go your self and come to the same conclusion,: Bremerton is stepping up in the eyes of the food world. Sabateur is that good. Our little secret called Kitsap life will be discovered by the masses as a result of this opening.... it's that amazing.
Treat yourself to a classic almond croissant. Had my first from Saboteur this morning ruined my whole day after setting the bar impossibly high. texture, chew, flavor, pure sugary yum frangipani center, crispy flake. OMG. Just do yourself a favor and get one.
As a type II diabetic, I pretty much wrote bread off my diet several years ago. I don't buy it or keep it in the house. I'll eat bread at a restaurant, as an indulgence. But when Saboteur opened up within walking distance of my house, I had to give it a try. I now buy either a loaf or a few baguettes each week. I've found all kinds of great ways to use them in my meal planning, it's delicious, and it hasn't affected my blood sugar. It's pretty cool having this awesome resource in our community. :-D
The first time I went to Saboteur, they were sold out of everything but the coconut tropezienne. I'm not a fan of coconut but I'd gone to try the food so I got one. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Now, if I see coconut on the FB menu, I race to grab one. I've been back numerous times now and I have never been disappointed in anything. Croissants? Amazing. Quiche? AMAZING. Hazelnut financier? Amazing. This is the kind of excellent that makes you hesitate to move because you don't want to live too far away. This is the kind of excellent that brings a tear to the eye when you learn they've sold out of something or have gone on vacation. This is the kind of excellent that made me post my first online review. Go to Saboteur. Just go after me so they aren't sold out.
