Hovde Gard - Brekstad

Beautiful, dreamy hide. well in service. the only challenge was not much cost despite the well served and presented food. perhaps too much frozen. otherwise beautiful quiet location.

High and deep. beautiful hotel with some very friendly and helpful staff. the first glass of the house white wine was terrible. restaurant later made us a vegetarian meal, and I must say that the cook has a wonderful note and sense for humor – the dish was made to look like a classic (awful) filled pfeffer affair, but it was far from it! among them was a series of wonderfully cooked vegetables and a fake steak. really good quality cook here. dessert from berries and chocolate just didn't work, although I couldn't manage more than a few mouthful, jarring aromen. they also sat the two couples in an empty restaurant literally next to each other, we could chew them, why? generally recommended.

Been coming here since last August on and off for work travel. The food is always great and the service is also very great! Every day they have a different House wife special I usually order this and they never disappoint. I 'd definitely recommend this restaurant/hotel to anyone staying in the Brekstad/Ørland area!

It is modern, cosy and upscale place. One hour by fast boat from Trondheim. So it is very isolated and great for escape from the city. Short walk from the local harbour. Good for weekend or meeting. Very tasty food. Respectful and helpful stuff. Rooms are clean and modern. Nicely decorated. I rather like this place
