Rheinpromenade - Breisach am Rhein

I was just there for coffee and cake, so I can't say much to eat. the restaurant has a very nice terrace with Rhine view, so in summer it is a good place for a coffee or an ice cream.

We were there yesterday. it was so sunny when we arrived there that we were looking for a table in the shadow, just to drink something and eat an ice cream. Unfortunately we had no choice but to take a table place that was not in the shadow - following the suggestion of the waitress - but it was ok. Once the second waitress arrived to receive our order, we were told that the table was reserved, although there was no sign on it. the best of all was that the same waitress had annoying who told us that 45 minutes for an ice and a beer rich. I was shocked first, but I tried not to let this incident destroy our evening. I ordered an ice without a whipped cream. what did I get? ice cream, from which the half was cleaned, but the rest remained on the bottom of the glass. when I told the same girl that in my ice cream was blow cream, she asked me where, as if she were blind and could not see that the impact cream was already on the surface because the ice began to melt. I finally got a new one without and exactly after 45 minutes she came there and told us that the time was over and we should go, although there were enough free tables to put her "reserved" sign. when we left, she told us to look again, if surprised. Now I answer and say. never again and in no case.

We were there twice and both of them were disappointed. everything tasted like from a boxed pity because the location as well as the service is good.

The view over the Rhine on a sunny evening was excellent. my wife ordered the classic carving with pommes' and I ordered the bauchspeck'. both were good, but not unforgettable. on the other hand the service was very good.

Beautiful terrace on the Rhine to eat, coffee, cake and ice. we were almost 2 hours walked at the river and were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant with a terrace at the end of our walk. it was a...warmer, sunny day, perfect for a light lunch in the open. we all had pumpkin soup with cream that was delicious had a curry aroma. it is a great place for a break after a long walk or recommended for a relaxed hour at the rhein definitiw!
